In my faith, there are only 2 commandments, both of which are focused on relationships: one with God and one with the person next to you. To do your best for God and other people is both simple and complex. It is easy to remember, simple in construct, yet tremendously complicated to actually do. To help navigate through our imperfections, we have the Golden Rule which is both an ethical code and value system. Primary to the value system: everyone is valued, even those who are yet unborn because we were created in God’s image. This is why I am pro-life. Children are a blessing, not a burden, and I will continue efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade at the federal level while preserving life at the state level, such as streamlining adoptions, maintaining a robust foster care system, and closing abortion centers.
